The Clark County Public Library is located at
370 South Burns Avenue in Winchester, Kentucky, approximately 17 miles east
of Lexington, Kentucky in the heart of the Bluegrass Region.

was completed in 1998 with local funds and state grants; the building now
spans 18,200 square feet in a residential area on the corner of Burns and
Belmont Avenues. This building currently contains over 85,000 volumes of
book and periodical materials available for patrons to check out. Our
collection includes over 4,000 videotapes and DVDS as well as 7,500 audio
books for all ages.. In addition, the Clark County Public Library offers
ongoing programs and classes for all ages, from our thriving community of
Older Americans to children as young as 18 months.
At the Clark County Public Library, patrons
have access to free Internet sessions, an extensive bank of reference
resources and the expertise of two reference librarians. In addition to
these services, patrons may sign up for free monthly Internet classes with
an experienced trainer.
Our motto? Biblio ergo ZOOM! is a play on
the Latin phrase "Cogito ergo sum", or "I think; therefore, I am." Roughly
translated, "Biblio ergo ZOOM!" means "I use my library; therefore, I zoom!"
