of books with the children and adults of Clark County ABOUT US CLARK COUNTY FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY
The goal of the Clark County Friends of the Library is to encourage reading and literacy in Clark County by supporting programs and functions of the Clark County Public Library. Exciting News - In 2006 alone, over 900 children and 200 adults participated in the fun-filled events sponsored by the library and the participants read so many books the library staff just couldnt keep count!
How Do I Join The Friends Friends Membership is open to anyone who wishes to help strengthen the collections and programs of the Clark County Public Library as well as promote literacy in the community. Your support will directly benefit library patrons, especially participants in the Children and Adult Summer Reading Programs sponsored by the Clark County Public Library between the months of May July of each year. Membership applications are available at the Library or you can join at a book sale or Friends meeting.
How Can I Donate Items? The Clark County Public Library accepts donations of books, videos, DVDs, etc. during normal hours of operation from February through November. All donated items are offered for sale at the book sales.
How Are Items Priced? At a typical book sale, hardcover books are sold for $3.00 and paperbacks are $1.00. Other items are priced from $0.50 to $3.00. Prices may vary depending on the quantity of items offered for sale. At the conclusion of the sale on Saturday afternoon, a bag sale is featured. All books that will fit into a bag are sold at a reduced price, usually $3.00.
