The Clark County Public Library is located at 370 South Burns Avenue in Winchester, Kentucky, approximately 17 miles east of Lexington, Kentucky in the heart of the Bluegrass Region.

The Clark County Public Library building was completed in 1998 with local funds and state grants; the building now spans 18,200 square feet in a residential area on the corner of Burns and Belmont Avenues. This building currently contains over 85,000 volumes of book and periodical materials available for patrons to check out. Our collection includes over 4,000 videotapes and DVDS as well as 7,500 audio books for all ages.. In addition, the Clark County Public Library offers ongoing programs and classes for all ages, from our thriving community of Older Americans to children as young as 18 months.

At the Clark County Public Library, patrons have access to free Internet sessions, an extensive bank of reference resources and the expertise of two reference librarians. In addition to these services, patrons may sign up for free monthly Internet classes with an experienced trainer.

Our motto? Biblio ergo ZOOM! is a play on the Latin phrase "Cogito ergo sum", or "I think; therefore, I am." Roughly translated, "Biblio ergo ZOOM!" means "I use my library; therefore, I zoom!"
